What does MUNAY mean?

In Quechua, an ancient language of the Andes, "Munay" means a deep, profound love that transcends mere affection. It embodies a sense of compassion, connection, and respect that is central to the Andean culture and worldview.

At Munay, we draw inspiration from this rich heritage, infusing our Peruvian and South American cuisine with the warmth and care that the term represents.

Our commitment is to create a dining experience that reflects the essence of Munay—where every dish is crafted with love, and every moment shared is cherished.

Meet the chef

Eduardo

I was born and raised in Lima, Peru. I have always been in love with Peruvian and South American food and culture, being a big part of our daily lives, I decided to pursue a career in Gastronomy at Le Cordon Bleu Peru. Straight after school I worked in Lima in two high end restaurants before making my way to Chile, Spain and finally Australia which has been my home for the past 7 years.
